Bitcoin is down 4.7% on the day. The price dropped by $983 and is now trading at $19,868 dollars per Bitcoin.


Ethereum is down 6.8% on the day. The price dropped by $79 and is now trading at $1,089

dollars per Ether.


The total market cap for all cryptocurrencies is down 4.3% on the day. The market cap

dropped by $38.9 billion and currently stands at $885 billion.



Bitcoin continues its dominance over the crypto markets.

Bitcoin currently holds a 42.8% share of the crypto markets.

Ethereum is in second with a 14.9% market share. Followed by Tether in third with 7.4%

market share.



The top DeFi Tokens are down 4.8% on the day. The total market cap is now at $47.9

billion.


DeFi trading volume is up 5.5%.


On a list of the Top 100 cryptocurrencies by market cap…


Arweave ($AR) - ranked #79 by total market cap - was the day's biggest winner.


According to CoinMarketCap, “Arweave is a decentralized storage network that seeks to

offer a platform for the indefinite storage of data”. The coin rose 5.8% and is currently

trading at $12.03.



On the flip side, STEPN ($GMT) - ranked #70 by total market cap - was the day's

biggest loser.


As per CoinMarketCap, “STEPN is a self-styled ‘Web3 lifestyle app’ with GameFi

elements on the Solana blockchain. The token dropped 7.6% and is currently trading at

$0.83.


The crypto Fear and Greed Index, which analyzes emotions and sentiments from

different sources and crunches them into one simple number is currently at 16,

indicating “Extreme Fear” in the markets.
